Wild watercolour art for your free spirited soul ☀️
Rebranded in 2020 from Cards by bex, Paperbec Design co. is a watercolor art and stationery design company located in Beamsville, Ontario, Canada. I started five years ago after graduating from teachers college into a job shortage and was looking for a creative outlet. I was always drawn to visual arts but never pursued it as a career, so I didn't have any formal training other than some basic knowledge of Adobe programs from high school. I learned everything I know from Skillshare and Youtube, and I wouldn't change a thing!
I love painting loose florals and dreamy landscapes the most and I often gravitate towards explosive and high contrasting colour palettes. I'm inspired by bohemian vibes, national parks, wildflowers, and the fleeting moments of golden hour.
Because I'm so inspired by the earth and all is has to offer, it is important to me that we are a sustainable, eco-friendly brand, so we print on 100% cotton tree-free stock made from recycled fibres from the apparel industry and use zero-waste packaging materials.
A large part of our business is inspired by our love for weddings (as a bride-to-be myself and a event server at a local winery!), so we offer custom watercolor invitation design and will soon have a collection of semi-custom suites this summer.
