Items Stolen After Delivery
It is very sad that there are people in this world who steal other people's packages. Unfortunately it happens. However we cannot take responsibility for items that are stolen or otherwise misappropriated. This includes items that are confirmed delivered to the address provided at the time of purchase. If you move house between the date of purchase and date of delivery, it is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that a mail forwarding service is in place or to make other arrangements for receiving the package once it is delivered.
Delivery - Requiring Authorized Recipient
Standard shipping to the US is done via Mexpost & the USPS. Items are sent registered and the USPS requires an authorized recipient to receive the package.
When your package is shipped we do provide a tracking number that you can use to monitor its progress within the USPS system. We also try to monitor our customers' packages the best we can. If we see that a delivery attempt failed because no authorized recipient was available we will send you a message advising you to schedule redelivery. We are not responsible for items returned to us if a redelivery is not scheduled. At our discretion we will issue partial refunds -- accounting for our shipping costs -- if items arrive back with us in original condition.
Delivery - Failed Delivery & Returned Items
We use either USPS or DHL to deliver our packages. If an attempted delivery fails for a package that was correctly addressed per the shipping instructions made at the time of purchase we are not responsible for the shipping charges. If the package is returned to us we can offer the buyer two options. One option is to pay the actual shipping costs required to resend the package. The second option is to receive a partial refund of the purchase price. This will be calculated as Price Paid - Actual Cost of Shipping.
Returns & Exchanges - Mexican Import Duties
While we are open to accepting returns and exchanges, the costs associated with shipping your return and importing your return back into Mexico are the responsibility of the buyer. If a returned item requires us to pay import duties before we can receive it we reserve the right to do one of two things. First, we may decline to pay the import duties, at which point the package may either be returned to sender or otherwise dispatched by the shipping company. Second, we may elect to pay the import duties and deduct them from the amount to be refunded. We are not responsible for calculating any potential import fees that your return may generate.
Returns - Made to Order Items
Made to order items, such as certain wool tapetes, are not elegible for returns. We consider these to be "custom or personalized" orders.
