Information I Collect
To fulfill your order, you must provide certain information (which you authorized Etsy to share with me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and details of the product you're purchasing. You may also choose to provide additional personal information if you contact me directly for a custom order or have specific inquiries.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on various legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
To provide my services, such as processing your order, settling disputes, and offering customer support.
When you have given affirmative consent, like signing up for my mailing list (which you can revoke at any time).
To comply with legal obligations or court orders, including tax law requirements.
For legitimate interests, provided your rights or interests don't override them. This includes improving my services and complying with Etsy's policies.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
I value your privacy and handle your personal information with care:
Etsy: I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you with my services and comply with my obligations under Etsy's policies.
Service Providers: I engage trusted third parties (e.g., delivery companies) to perform functions and provide services for my shop. I share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to fulfil those services.
Business Transfers: If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, in compliance with applicable laws.
Compliance with Laws: I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if reasonably necessary to respond to legal processes or government requests, enforce my agreements, terms, and policies, prevent fraud or illegal activities, and ensure the safety of my customers or others.
Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also need to retain this information to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce my agreements. Typically, I keep your data for a period of 4 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a range of rights concerning your personal information:
Access: You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information provided below.
Change, Restrict, Delete: You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. I will generally delete your personal information upon request, except in cases where it must be retained for legal reasons.
Object: You can object to my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests, as well as receiving marketing messages from me after giving your express consent. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate reasons to continue using it or if required by law.
Complain: If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how your personal information is handled, please don't hesitate to contact me through the "Contact" link on my Etsy shop page.
