An escape to old Britain: Nature, Nostalgia, Books & Paper.

Meaning of 'Patina':
"Appearance of something grown beautiful especially with age or use."

Patina & Page lives and breathes this spirit. The shop exists to inspire the creatives, the collectors, the upcyclers, the crafters. It honours the foragers, the readers, the walkers, the writers. It is driven by an ethos of creativity & care.

Patina & Page proudly represents a corner of old Britain. An idyll. An escape.

Here's a little bit of history.

After the events of 2020, I decided to bring together my loves - of the great outdoors, of poetry, of illustration, of old Britain - and Patina & Page was born.

I repurposed the skills I had honed professionally as a writer and researcher. Researchers are about detail, discovery, and understanding, so Patina & Page finds and shares the beautiful and the rare. Writers are good storytellers - bringing to life a new outlook on the world. Patina & Page does that in rescuing and re-framing the stories of old books, antique ephemera, unloved bits and pieces! Researchers are passionate about detail, so if the pack is Regency-themed, there will be no Victorian dresses in it!

So all in all, the shop is proudly a little bit niche. Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about why its here and what I'm trying to do.

As Stella Gibbons' wrote, (1932): "The very atmosphere seemed covered with a rich patina of love."
