Our shop evolved gradually from curating the best of what we learned and worked into following 40 years in the Build/Design Business, and what we enjoyed doing in our now retired time. Both of us, comtractor and architectural designer, always enjoyed the creative end of the home building trade and were treated very graciously with many rewards from the journey. We were able to apply much of our wisdom learned from this trade into this new and challenging endeavor.
Much of our design work was created into the interiors of our residential homes as well as the unique and forward leanings of our exteriors on our homes. Our front entry doors, the carefully crafted staircases, fireplace surrounds, wall architecture, and open floorplans were admired, and copied in many homes in the industry during our career.
In our retirement and as we moved on to a less demanding lifestyle, we found that we missed the crafting of some of these things we had enjoyed in home building and began to apply them to individual satisfying, creative objects. That coupled with the fact that Patricia had become over the years more than a collector of unique found objects, both in need of rescuing and fixing, and ultimately having Fulton repurpose them as gifting and some for sell qualified the team for rebirth of the same materials but with a different item to sell. They applied many of the same principles and elements previously used in their work to a new line of interior elements. From this they created a line of mirrors, wall sculptures, and interior elements but now with more combination of hands-on-woodwork, design and skills than previously used in their home building. Many of their creations now adorn the homes of not only local collectors but homes across the United States and abroad.
