Pattern Prints Company is a bead pattern design oasis.
I've been an artist my whole life. I've always loved creating things. I started designing patterns using colored pencils and copy machine paper, then I moved on to stretched canvas and oil paints, finally settling on my paint of choice, acrylic on canvas, occasionally acrylic on heavy paper.
I got started in pattern design for beaded bracelets and earrings when I saw a gorgeous bead bracelet my Aunt Joann was wearing. I told her how beautiful it was and she told me she made it. I was shocked! Such a beautiful beaded bracelet made by someone I knew personally? I knew then that I needed to get involved in this bracelet making hobby. (I did make some single strand bead necklaces when I was in high school that were very good)
I started out buying Miyuki Delica beads size 11/0 and downloaded some bracelet patterns from Etsy. My best friend and I started together on a loom pattern and we were hooked; we did many more loom bracelets after that. Peyote stitch came next. Only after watching many tutorial videos first! We learned even count peyote first and then odd count peyote. We liked even count peyote the best because it's a bit easier.
After making many peyote stitch bracelets from patterns we purchased and downloaded from Etsy the time came to start designing patterns. I have designed many looms patterns and peyote patterns for bead bracelets and patterns for bead earrings since my adventure began. I hope you can get as much enjoyment out of creating beautiful works as I have out of designing the patterns.
