Retired and Bored - now a Family Affair!
After almost 20 years as a real estate agent, owning my own business, I retired. Within months, I found myself bored and in need of a challenge. Paw Chic Threads was born from two of my great loves - sewing and dogs.
I have 2 wonderful senior Chocolate Labs - Bosco (11 years old) and Skylar - under a year old and rescued on October 31, 2024. We lost our precious rescue Lab, Jessie on September 24, 2024 after 12 years together. Jessie appears as our bandana model - can't bring myself to take down her pics.
Both of my dogs have worn bandanas but I find that they come off quickly. Bosco then proceeds to chew them up - not a good thing. I lack the patience to thread a bandana through their collars every time we go out. The solution? The "scrunchy style" elastic bandana that Paw Chic Threads specializes in. Easy on/off, right over the head. Can be worn with or without the collar.
My husband, Bill has also joined me full time in our shop. Yes, it IS a challenge to work side by side with your spouse, but with 30 years of marriage, we have learned how to play nice in the sewing studio! Bill is a wizard with the embroidery machine and cuts almost all the bandanas out for me. A more precise person you will not find! (You know the type - retired computer systems engineer) And he keeps me organized, too!
In response to my grand-dog, Drogo a huge Bull Mastiff, if you need a bandana for a big dog, I can do it. Just message me and we'll work out the details.
