Hi, I’m Ahu, the person behind PawsNTees. 🐾
PawsNTees started with a pretty big change in my life.
For years, I worked a regular white-collar job in the corporate world. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted something different, to build something of my own, spend my days doing work I actually enjoyed, and create a quieter life away from the rush of the big city.
So my husband and I took a chance, moved to a small town, and I slowly started building this little shop.
And then there’s Odin, my chocolate Labrador. 🤎
Despite the name, Odin is actually a girl, a very lovable, slightly chubby girl who has somehow become the heart of this shop.
She is a huge part of my everyday life and, without really knowing it, the inspiration behind so much of PawsNTees. Living with her made me realize just how much personality, humor, comfort, and love our pets bring into our homes. A lot of the ideas you see here start with those little things pet people know so well, the funny habits, familiar expressions, and personalities that somehow make each of them completely their own.
PawsNTees is mostly inspired by dogs and the many breeds we love, but you’ll find cats and other pet-inspired ideas here too. For me, it has always been less about one particular animal and more about that special place our pets have in our everyday lives.
Most of the creative work happens from my small workspace at home, usually with Odin somewhere nearby. I develop the concepts and designs myself, and for the physical production and fulfillment of our products, I work with professional production partners who help me turn those ideas into the finished pieces that arrive at your door.
My husband and Odin are still my biggest supporters, although Odin’s contribution is mostly sleeping nearby, asking for snacks, and occasionally inspiring another design. :)
I’m still learning, experimenting, and trying new things as the shop grows. I read your messages, pay attention to your breed and pet requests, and genuinely love when someone reaches out and asks, “Could you make this with my pet?”
Knowing that something I created ends up being worn, used, or gifted by someone who loves their pet as much as I love mine is probably my favorite part of running PawsNTees.
