Shop starts After Losing Teaching Job
After a few years of teaching sixth grade Literature in Arizona, Amanda Cunningham found herself without a school to teach in and out of a job. With the budget cuts in the nation at that time, little money meant schools closed, young teachers lost jobs and nowhere to turn. She found herself moving further west to the sunny beaches of California, without a job and after a short stint at Petsmart, the idea to put her sewing skills to use.
Amanda has followed in the footsteps of her grandmother and her mother. Cutting fabric and pressing the pedal at a very young age, her passion for sewing clothing lead to other projects such as quilting and upholstery. Left without a job and just her mind and hands as tools, she began to create dog clothing.
What started with one little Christmas jacket has lead to a full line of dog apparel, children and baby clothing and aprons. Not only limited to these, she excels at making custom items as well. What started in her kitchen has now moved to her own workspace. And moving forward with building her own blog to show others how to create some of her projects.
