Mio padre mi ha regalato il mio primo libro di origami da bambino – con una forte vena artistica e molto tempo. Mi aveva portato al Museo di Storia Naturale di New York e lì abbiamo visto il famoso albero di Natale Origami con pezzi provenienti da tutto il mondo e ne sono rimasto affascinato.
Molti anni dopo, dopo che quel bambino artistico ha perseguito incessantemente ogni mezzo immaginabile, dalla pittura ad olio alla realizzazione di film, ha ripreso gli origami per modellare un cellulare per un amico in attesa del suo primo figlio. "Dovresti venderli!" fu la sua ferma opinione una volta che riprese fiato.
Ed eccoci entrambi oggi :) Sto ancora facendo origami e forse ti interessa uno per la tua casa o un regalo. I clienti li hanno acquistati per tutti i tipi di occasioni e di tanto in tanto mi scrivono per dirmi della loro destinazione. Dai primi anniversari di matrimonio (che sono suggerimenti "di carta") ai regali per il riscaldamento della casa, studi di yoga, uffici pediatrici e case di riposo ... Sono stato fortunato a sentire che il mio mestiere / lavoro è stato apprezzato e ha portato pace alle persone di tutto il mondo. La maggior parte migra verso i vivai ed è un onore molto speciale creare qualcosa per uno scopo così prezioso, pensare al mio lavoro che fluttua dolcemente sopra la prossima generazione di piccoli – facendoli sorridere, dormire e forse sognare avventure e terre che un giorno vedranno.
Sono molto entusiasta di annunciare una nuova serie di adorabili riviste... Ognuno coperto da libri di viaggio vintage o guide naturalistiche e rilegato con un nastro di grosgrain coordinato.
Inoltre, presto aggiungerò una nuova collezione in corso di arazzi a collage unici nel loro genere, principalmente da libri per bambini vintage, libri di cucina e libri geografici. Quindi fermati spesso o ancora meglio... segui Gin & Rummy online per cogliere tutte le novità in arrivo!

My dad gave me my first book of origami as a child – with a strong artistic streak and a lot of time. He had taken me to the Museum of Natural History in NYC and there we saw the famous Origami Christmas Tree with pieces from all around the world and I was fascinated.
Many years later, after that artistic child relentlessly pursued every conceivable medium from oil painting to film making, she took up origami again to fashion a mobile for a friend expecting her first child. "You should sell these!" was her firm opinion once she caught her breath again.
And here we both are today :) I'm still making origami and perhaps you are interested in one for your home or a gift. Customers have purchased them for all sorts of occasions and from time to time write to me to tell me of their destination. From first wedding anniversaries (which are "paper" hint hint) to house warming gifts, yoga studios, pediatric offices and retirement homes... I've been blessed to hear my craft/work being enjoyed and bringing peace to people all around the world. Most migrate to nurseries and it is a very special honor to create something for so precious a purpose, to think of my work floating softly above the next generation of little ones – making them smile, sleep and maybe dream of adventures and lands they will one day see.
I am very excited to announce a new series of adorable journals... Each covered in vintage travel books or nature guides and bound with a coordinating grosgrain ribbon.
