How I got here!
Ever since I can remember, I have always loved fabric. I learned from a young age to sew, and eventually fell into the quilting world. My dedication and adoration to fabric, crafts, and sewing grew with me as I matured. Starting with basic sewing skills, to monthly classes, to exhibiting and producing a high school fashion show, and eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in fashion design, my passion has never wavered. With all the support I received from my loved ones I am finally able to pursue this dream!
I created my first Etsy shop - Pink Letter Studio to be a modern quilting destination, for quilters and home sewists a like. Pink Letter Studio eventually went on to become The Fabric Unicorn, after its first year of business. The Fabric Unicorn name now fully encompasses what I have strived for in my shop. I want to be your magical destination for all your fabric wants and needs. When you look for all the unique fabrics all curated together, a Unicorn of Fabric shops.
I have always the complex simplicity of creating things from fabric. As a young girl I learned how to sew and how to quilt at the same time, so I had no division of the two different crafts in my head. Now as a fabric shop owner I want to provide a stepping stone for people who do not fall into the camps of quilter or garment maker, or home sewer. Here at Pink Letter Studio everyone is whatever they want, and I want to showcase things that might make you step out of your comfort zone and into new sewing categories.
