At the beginning . . .
I started this business from my living room in 2007. I would work evenings to fulfill orders while working my full-time position during the day. It was a hobby back then that had the potential to bloom into a full time business. In 2009, I started selling on etsy part-time and after many long nights of assembling and proofing orders I went full time. In the fall of 2010 I was able to quit my full time job and pursue my dream of owning my own business!
It's been a lot of hard work but I've never looked back once. I love doing what I do and creating what I love! I have a graduate degree in Art History with a focus on Italian Renaissance art and I think that influence does show through strongly in my work. I didn't know how affected I was by what I studied my entire life until I started designing and seeing a trend in everything I made. This business brought everything full circle for me because I was never happy just analyzing art on a wall, I wanted to create art myself and have the satisfaction of knowing others could use it and enjoy it too!
Sometimes we're lucky enough to find what we are meant to do and actually be able to do it. We just have to be brave enough to grasp the opportunity when it comes along. I think that's the key to starting anything in life!
