Hello and welcome to Pinky's!
I'm Kasia, a mixed media artist mostly working on digital designs, watercolour paintings and textile accessories & decorations. I have a varied style and most of my work includes bright colours and faces. I love moons, polka dots, faces, clowns, flowers and mushrooms. My favourite artists are Yayoi Kusama, Salvador Dali, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Tove Jansson and Jean Michel Basquiat.
My inspiration comes mostly from my own anxieties and neurosis, psychology , philosophy & poetry, mythical worlds and creatures and above all the need to create objects much less boring than the real world!
My style has changed over the years and I always say It's hard to pin my work down to one genre but I like to think of it as psychedelic, maximalist, pop surrealism sometimes with a macabre element. Recently I have moved away from doing custom orders as I unfortunately do not have the time to do these, although if you see something and you want it in a different colour or a different style please do message me and I will endeavour to do this ! :)
The shops is full of postcards, cards, prints, bags and jewellery as well as other bits and bobs - whatever I like to make at the time ! My favourite medium to use at the moment is digital because I can do this anywhere so it's really convenient and I just love to be drawing all the time. When I have the time I love to paint with watercolours or acrylic and I'm obsessed with my sewing machine.
