Less of a pattern and more rough guidelines. Definitely not beginner friendly, thankfully I have been crocheting for years now. Still it took me a good while to figure out what exactly the instructions meant. My bag turned out great, despite the struggle. It's a gift for my friend's birthday and they loved it! I recommend the pattern only for experienced crocheters.
