PLANTING RUBY ROOTS
The shop name "PlantingRubyRoots" is derived from my father, Ruby, who was an avid farmer back home in the Philippines. He brought his skills to our backyard here in the states where he spent most of his summer days in his vegetable garden where he fed his family from the very vegetables he grew from hand. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2020 and as his daughter I explored what made this his very passion, as a way to feel close to him. It did not take me long to understand the therapy and happiness plants bring. Whether it be exploring the outdoors, meditation, mental relief, physical activity, or seeing the progress and excitement new growth brings. This shop is dedicated in his memory as a punn for both his ancestral roots and plant roots. Although it will not include outdoor plants like garden vegetables or flowers, it will mostly comprise of indoor plants of which I have personally grown to enjoy and love.
