About Ms. Wendy
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Miami University. Several years later, after teaching kindergarten, first grade, and a multi-age classroom, I completed a master’s degree in Elementary Education.
During my final years in public education, I taught at a Title I school, where I specialized in Reading Recovery and small-group guided reading instruction. At that point in my career, I chose to step away from the classroom for several years to focus on raising my own children.
When my children began preschool, I returned to teaching in a way that felt especially meaningful. We joined the preschool program at our church, where my children attended one classroom while I taught in another. It was the perfect balance for our family.
Working with three- and four-year-olds quickly became my passion. I value the opportunity to spend my mornings nurturing and teaching young learners while still dedicating my afternoons to my family.
