PlayWitLocked Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how PlayWitLocked collects, uses, and shares information when you purchase an item, contact the shop, or otherwise use PlayWitLocked services through Etsy.com or related Etsy services. It does not apply to third parties that PlayWitLocked does not own or control, including Etsy. Please review Etsy's Privacy Policy for information about Etsy's practices.

Information collected

To fulfill an order, PlayWitLocked receives information that a buyer authorizes Etsy to provide, such as the buyer's name, email address, order details, messages, and the details of the product ordered. For personalized products, buyers may also provide first name(s), a destination, and optional trip or quest preferences. Buyers should not provide surnames, home addresses, school names, exact birth dates, phone numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in personalization fields. Etsy processes payment information; PlayWitLocked does not receive full payment-card details.

Why the information is needed and how it is used

PlayWitLocked uses personal information only as needed to fulfill orders, create and deliver personalized files, provide customer support, settle disputes, maintain necessary business records, comply with legal obligations, and comply with Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use. Buyer information is not used for unsolicited marketing. Personalized customer outputs are not placed in public repositories or public listing materials.

Information sharing and disclosure

Personal information is shared only in limited circumstances: with Etsy as necessary to provide services and comply with Etsy's policies; with service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the shop or deliver the requested digital service; as part of a lawful business transfer; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, prevent fraud or security issues, enforce agreements, or protect customers and others.

Data retention

Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service and meet support, dispute-resolution, tax, legal, and regulatory obligations. Order records may be retained for up to four years where required for those purposes. Working files containing personalization details are deleted when they are no longer needed for fulfillment, support, or a legal obligation.

Transfers outside the European Union

PlayWitLocked is based in the United States. Information may therefore be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions whose data-protection and government-access laws may differ from those in the buyer's country, including through Etsy and service providers used to fulfill the order. Any transfer is limited to what is necessary to provide the requested service or comply with legal obligations.

Buyer rights

Depending on location and circumstances, buyers may have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to the use of, or request deletion of personal information. A buyer may also have a right to complain to a local data-protection authority. Legal or regulatory obligations may require some information to be retained.
