I began playing with digital art for fun originally, until I one day asked the AI to generate images that described me. It took a while to learn how to get the system to see and center body positive female joy unhooked to anyone's gaze at all. And suddenly the images began to feel healing and empowering. I understood suddenly what the lack of them had done to the imagination and self-esteem. And I began a chase for images of self-love and body positivity and self-actualized women and girls. Fat positive women of all races, all honoring truth and joy. The deeper I got into it, the more I saw the system's biases, and the more important I found the work--not only for me and other women to see our beauty in all of our shapes and individual pursuits, but for the system to be fed healthy images of womanhood and femininity. I also began to learn how to use Photoshop to make edits to my favorite images. And I began to want to share the beauty with others.
And so came Plus Love Designs. Named for the love of this venture, and for the love of self, and the pursuit of recognizing, accepting and celebrating oneself.
