A life-long love for ceramics
One day, when I was very young, my grandfather took me to the woods near our countryside house, right where his beehives used to be, and we dug up some soil. He removed the roots, sticks and ants from it, poured some water and mixed it very well.
It was my first clay!
I spend the afternoon with my little brother and cousin sculpting our first pieces of pottery. This moment definitely sparked my love for sculpting.
I was born in a town known for its traditional pottery and the very soil surrounding it is used to make the red earthenware clay. So in a way it was meant to be.
Years later I discovered porcelain. I loved it even more given its delicateness when raw and how stone-like hard it became after firing.
I fell in love with the idea of creating all natural pieces that can survive time.
I've been making porcelain figurines and pendants in my free time for about 15 years. In 2016 my very best friend whom I gladly flooded with porcelain sloths and turtles really encouraged me to share my creations with the world and star an online shop.
So here we are. ♥
In my shop you'll find my porcelain "love children". I mostly create tiny animal pendants but I'm also looking to expand my horizons with home decor.
