Behind the Art: The Posh Pad Story
Hey friend, I’m Annie—the artist, trail wanderer, and founder behind Posh Pad Designs. My journey started with a sketchbook in one hand and hiking boots on my feet. I’m a classically trained artist, but my best work comes not from a studio, but from the woods.
The seed for Posh Pad was planted somewhere deep in the Appalachian Mountains, where I wander around surrounded by wildflowers, mossy hollows, and ridge lines that go on forever. Out there, everything slows down—and I started to wonder what it would look like to bring that feeling into the home.
I started drawing what I saw on the trail: mushrooms tucked into tree roots, foxes darting through the underbrush, wild berries hanging low on a sun-dappled path. With just a pencil and some paper, I captured these moments and turned them into art. Then I thought—why not put this feeling on something? Something useful. Something beautiful. Something you could take with you, or decorate your home with, as a reminder of the wild within.
And that’s how Posh Pad Designs was born.
Today, every Posh Pad product starts with one of my hand-drawn illustrations, inspired by nature and crafted with care. I draw everything by hand, scan it into Illustrator, and bring it to life with rich color, natural textures, and soulful design. The finished art becomes bandanas, prints, pillows, and other goods made to celebrate your love of the outdoors—without sacrificing your sense of style.
What makes Posh Pad different? It’s not just that I’m a real artist making real art. It’s the heart behind it. I believe in slow-made, meaningful design that brings the outside in. I use a made-to-order production model to cut down on waste, and I build every collection around stories and symbols that reflect the wild beauty of the mountains.
This brand isn’t just about pretty things. It’s about remembering who you are when you're out on the trail—free, grounded, and alive—and bringing that version of you home.
Thanks for being here and for supporting art that was made with muddy boots, full sketchbooks, and a whole lotta love. ✨

Frequently asked questions
Who creates the art on Posh Pad Designs products? And how is it made?
All the art on Posh Pad products starts with a pencil sketch inspired by the Appalachian wilds. I hand-draw every design, then digitize it in Illustrator where I add color, texture, and build it into patterns for bandanas, prints, and more. It’s slow-made, soul-filled, and created with love in the mountains. Want to see the process? Watch here: https://pin.it/6g6BpGTIX
