Posterography.....Ink Ink Baby!
POSTEROGRAPHY was born out of my idea to combine elements of an actor, musician, band, movie or celebrity's life into a poster...anything goes... the results can be an interesting mix and a feast for the eye, and takes many visits to explore everything in the art. I do hide names and objects in my art, so you have to look closely!
I work in black ink with my trusty Rapidograph pens and I hand-color most of my prints, to give them a unique one-of-a-kind original for my customers. I also try to keep costs low and give value for money...it's all about the art!
Letterpress Prints
My hand drawn artwork is made into a relief plate, which is then used to print on an hundred year old Heidelberg printing press, on beautiful 300gsm 100% cotton paper by a master Letterpress printer .
The beauty of the letterpress process is the character and "bite" into the cotton paper surface, to give the print a distinct letterpress finish that is rare and engaging in today's world. Run your finger over the print to feel the bumps! ..smell the ink.....the print almost has a "leather" feel to it - gorgeous!
