A profound love for art, flowers, the lost practice of letter writing, and all things beautiful converged… the result: Posy Paper Studio was born!
The lost novelty, talent and skill of individualized expression on paper, has returned. Often in times past, one’s words penned were equally as important as the designed parchment upon which the expressions were received...The brilliant nuance of communication!
I love that flowers have been used as forms of communication and significance since medieval times. The posy, a small bouquet of flowers, became popular at the height of Victorian England. The posy secretly communicated feelings and sentiments via the language of flowers. Deep feelings could be expressed through a specific flower, thus allowing lovers, friends, and family members to confer their sentiments and emotions secretly, in an era where formal written communication very well might be construed as presumptuous.
Fast-forward to our culture today…In a time when Facebook, Texting, and Snap-Chat have robbed all sincerity from true messaging, allow me to re-introduce you to purposeful expression.
Let my original watercolors, illustrations, and hand lettering help to inspire and resurrect the lost art of letter-writing in you. And most of all… allow you to uniquely bestow love and happiness to all who receive them.
