From treadle sewing machine to computerized sewing machines. A sewing legacy.

My grandmother taught me how to sew on an old foot treadle machine she kept on her back porch. The machine was tiled over with linoleum, blemished with paint can stains on it and nails embedded in the linoleum. I still have that machine and I also still have a love of sewing. I've made quilts and clothing for my kids and various and sundry things over the years, but I find making small things most rewarding. This shop is for that, and maybe the occasional hand dyed skein of yarn.
