El arte siempre ha sido parte de mi vida. A mis abuelos les encantaba trabajar con sus manos (acolchado, pintura, enlatado, costura, tejido, etc.) al igual que a mí. Crear una nueva imagen o diseño es una pasión para mí. Siempre me ha encantado dibujar, así que cuando fui a la universidad, me especialicé en arte. Durante los años siguientes, creé mis propios diseños de punto de cruz, mis propios patrones de costura entre otros artículos y se entregaron como regalos hasta que mi cuñada me mostró un par de macetas que había pintado. Juntos, hicimos varios y fuimos a nuestra primera exposición de artesanía. Fui a algunos espectáculos de artesanía más con mi esposo e hijos después de eso y nos divertimos mucho viendo a otros trabajar y ser parte del entorno creativo. Fue entonces cuando se creó Potsetc.

Mis macetas tienen dos capas de imprimación y luego se pintan con pintura acrílica y se sellan. Cada diseño puede ser un poco diferente porque cada maceta está pintada a mano, pero las acerco lo más posible.

En el próximo año, planeamos introducir nuevos productos. Aaron ha estado trabajando en algunos anillos, cota de malla y más cuencos. Cody y yo estamos trabajando en nuevas macetas, joyas y otros nuevos diseños. Por favor, regrese a menudo para ver qué nuevos elementos se han agregado.

Art has always been a part of my life. My grandparents loved working with their hands (quilting, painting, canning, sewing, knitting, etc) as do I. Creating a new picture or design is a passion for me. I have always loved to draw so when I went to college, I minored in art. During the following years, I created my own cross stitch designs, my own sewing patterns among other items and they were given as gifts until my sister-in-law showed me a couple of flower pots that she had painted. Together, we made several and went to our first craft show. I went to a few more craft shows with my husband and kids after that and we had a lot of fun viewing others work and being a part of the creative environment. That's when Potsetc was created.

My flower pots have two coats of primer then are painted with acrylic paint and sealed. Each design may be a little different because each flower pot is painted by hand but I get them as close as possible.

In the coming year, we plan to introduce new products. Aaron has been working on some rings, chain maille and more bowls. Cody and I are working on new flower pots, jewelry and other new designs. Please come back often to see what new items have been added.
