My name is Karen R Quinn, and I started my business back in 1989 while living in Malibu, California.

What got the whole process started was an illness and surgery that prevented me from working outside of my home. I was so depressed about my health situation that my sister sent me some jewelry making tools and some supplies. I guess at the time she thought it would be good creative therapy for my depression. Well, it worked. Thanks Sis!

Soon after that I began designing, making and selling my own "one-of-a-kind" jewelry designs. In 1999 I relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona and continued my business in design for another 9 years, and then moved on to Las Cruces, New Mexico where I spent another 10 years before returning to my home town of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Currently I'm helping to care for my elderly parents, which keeps me pretty busy, but I still continue to enjoy designing and making unique pieces when time permits.

I make custom pieces designed to fit any style. If you want a piece that looks like it was a family heirloom or something a bit more trendy; I can design something that is just right for you and your personal style.

My jewelry has sold all over the world....from New York to California and from London to Tokyo!

I also sell vintage collectibles. Collecting vintage and antique items has always been a passion of mine since I was a young girl living in Pennsylvania. I was always going to estate sales, auctions, garage sales and flea markets looking for my vintage treasures. The history of these beautiful items fascinates me; not to mention the quality of the pieces. They just don't make them the way they used to.

You can always be sure to find a great selection of my vintage and antique collectibles for sale on my new website.

All of my vintage pieces are clean and well cared for; and I package my items for their safe arrival to your door.

I'm pretty much a one woman show here at Power Of One Designs. However, I do have a courier that picks up packages daily and delivers them to the post office for me. Oh, and let me not forget my sweet little feathered girl Friday who supervises my business, and keeps me smiling! :o)
