The store began out of necessity to thin the collection. I moved from a suburban area in Tucson to the city of Minneapolis.
Because inner city bungalows are much smaller than suburban ranch homes, it was by necessity I started Prairie Decorative Arts to sell a good portion of my collection.

As an incurable collector I also kept evolving and buying. So every new item that comes home requires another treasure be sold.

A collection is a living reflection of its owner. In order to maintain its vitality it must change. My Etsy store helps me facilitate that change by provided an outlet for items I can no longer display at home.
