5 out of 5 starsThis sterling silver sugar basket is a rare find especially with the famed Bateman family maker hallmark. Yes the bright-cut engraving is exceptional as was found on all Bateman pieces combined with an overall elegant simplicity of the basket design. The only flaw is a small bent portion of the pedestal base which makes the basket somewhat wobbly. Also the swing handle does not naturally stay upright. However this is a wonderful legacy item to add to my collection.
