I had just finished putting my husband through school in 2008 when I had an itch. I was creating and sharing my work, but I wanted to do even more. I found Etsy and instantly knew that I wanted to fill virtual shelves with pretty, handmade things. I got my feet wet by selling my handmade cards and scrapbook albums, but soon I found my niche. On a whim, I added some flowers to the shop. A sweet customer requested more, and she was followed by another, and yet another. I fell in love with designing and creating different flower embellishments that could be used for both papercrafting and accessories. My passion for flowers has grown and I now offer many varieties, patterns and colors in the shop today.
My flowers have been seen in several print magazines, including Green Craft, Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts, Scrapbook Trends, Create: Idea Books, Scrap 365, and more. My flowers have been featured on several manufacturer blogs such as Cosmo Cricket, SRM Press, DCWV and Epiphany Crafts. My flowers have been included in projects on television (HSN) and at Craft and Hobby Association conferences (CHA). You can also find my flowers across the world in craft faire booths and market stalls as hair clips and accessories.
I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to create and run Precocious Paper. It has been a huge blessing in my life.
