Quality-first Mindset
Preising Legacy began with a small workshop, a few trusted tools, and a simple belief: useful things should be made with care and built to last.
What started nearly seven years ago as a family leathercraft business in Westby, Wisconsin, has grown into something we never could have imagined. More than 15,000 Etsy orders later, our work has reached customers, performers, and costume departments around the world.
One of our proudest moments came when our handmade leather button suspenders were selected for Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie, where they are worn by Charles “Pa” Ingalls. Our leather goods have also been chosen for other film, television, and theatrical productions, carrying a small piece of our Wisconsin workshop onto stages and sets far beyond our hometown.
Despite that growth, our process remains personal. We select our materials carefully, cut and assemble each piece in our workshop, and inspect every order before it leaves our hands. We take inspiration from traditional American workwear, old-world craftsmanship, and objects that become more meaningful through years of use.
We are not interested in making disposable products. We want to create dependable leather goods that become part of someone’s story—and may one day be passed down as part of their legacy.
Every order supports our small family business and allows us to continue practicing a craft we are proud to share with the world.
