Design makes me happy!
My name is Cyprianne – my friends call my Cyp, so you can too! I am the visionary leader and creator (I tried to sound fancy there 😉) of Pretty Darn Adorable (Previously Speckled Frog Crochet).
When I started designing it was something to pass the time a little something just for me to do as I raised my family. At the time I had no idea that I would completely fall in love with it as much as I did.
With s sooooo many talented designers and soooo many resources. This makes me especially thankful for those who have decided to join me here and become part of the the PDA fam.
Over the past few years I have learned many of you are just learning to crochet. I would love to help you with that journey.
I understand it can be frustrating at times – learning a new skill is not always easy. I hope that all the answered emails and questions help you get over that hump. I am here to support you and want everyone to have success with my designs and tutorials so please reach out when you are stuck. We are in this together!
So… enough about the crochet stuff ..
A few unknowns about me! Or maybe some do know 😊
I am married with two boys of my own – a step-daughter, step-son and four absolutely adorable grandchildren!
I am a real introvert! My most enjoyable moments are spent with my family at home just watching movies, cooking or playing games. To me the simplest things in life are some of the best.
I have had the same friends for over 35 years. We met in grade 9 and have been friends ever since! They have always been my pillar of strength, my confidants and my biggest cheerleaders. They are not just friends – they are my family.
It is really really hard for me to stay focused! My mind is always racing towards the next things I want to learn, try or do. I literally have to tell myself to stay on track. I cannot tell you how many crochet designs I have drafted that I still have not been published. Pieces of furniture repurposed waiting for finishing touches. Sewing projects cut out and not yet completed… I must stop at this point – it is all a little embarrassing!
My house is usually a mess!
One last but very important thing! I CANNOT start my day without a coffee. Everyone knows, don’t talk to me before my java. I will smile and nod and maybe give my family a kiss but anything involving brain power does not happen until after my morning coffee is done.
Well, I think this about sums it up for now. But maybe, if I am lucky, we will get to know each other on the other side of this page!
