This privacy policy details how and when I collect, use and/or share your information when you purchase an item or otherwise utilize my services though Etsy.com and/or its related sites and services. It does not apply to the practices of any third parties that I neither own nor control; this includes Etsy and any third-party services you may access through Etsy. WHAT INFORMATION I COLLECT:

In order to complete your order, I need to collect specific information from you, which you authorize Etsy to provide to me on your behalf. This includes data such as your name and the postal address to which I will ship your purchases, as well your payment information required to complete the transaction. You may also provide me with additional information for custom orders, such as a personalized message.

Please note that I do not have access to the specifics of your payment information. You provide that to Etsy, and Etsy only lets me know that you have paid.

WHY I NEED YOUR INFO AND HOW I USE IT:

There are a variety of reasons why I need to collect your information. Some are practical; some are legal:

• I require your contact information to provide my services. For example, I need your mailing address to ship your goods to you.
• Your information may be needed to comply with a court order or other legal obligation in concert with a legal claim. I may need to retain information about your order in accordance with tax law, for example.
• I use customers’ information in order to improve my goods and services, provided my interests in no way override or infringe upon your interests or privacy. For example, if a buyer messages me to request a product that I don’t currently offer, I may or may not use that request to create said product or similar.
• As an Etsy seller, I may also use your information to comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

HOW I SHARE OR DISCLOSE YOUR INFO:

Information about my customers is vital to my business’s success; in short, I want to provide goods and services that you want, enjoy and are satisfied with. I provide your information to the following:

1. Etsy. As stated previously, I have obligations to fulfill under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use that require me to collect customer information in some instances. It is also necessary for me to relay your information to Etsy in order to provide my services in general.

2. The United States Postal Service. I ship my artwork using the USPS and need to provide your information to them in order to verify that your address is in its system, purchase postage on your behalf and mail your order to you.

3. Compliance with state and federal laws. If, in good faith, I believe that it is necessary to use, share or retain your information, I may do so in order to: (A) enforce my existing terms of use and services; (B) prevent, investigate and address instances of fraud and other illegal activities; (C) resolve security and technical issues; (D) respond to government requests or legal processes; and/or (E) protect the rights and property of my customers or others.

HOW LONG I RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION:

I will retain your personal data only for as long as it takes to provide you with my services as explained in this privacy policy — unless I’m required to retain it for a longer period of time in order to comply with my legal obligations and other regulations, such as to enforce stated agreements or to resolve disputes.

WHAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE AS A CUSTOMER:

If you reside in the European Union or other specific territories, you have rights related to your personal information. Some of these rights apply generally; others apply in limited instances:

1. Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold in reference to you by contacting me using the information below.
2. Change, restrict, delete. You may also have the right to change, restrict my use of or delete your personal information. Setting aside exceptional circumstances (e.g., instances where I am obligated to store data for legal reasons), I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
3. Object. You can object to (A) my use of some of your information in order to improve my goods, services and overall customer experience as described above. When this happens, I will delete your personal information, provided I have neither compelling nor legitimate grounds to continue using that information and I do not need to retain it for legal reasons.
4. Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
