EmBands are sewn by Emily and Beth - we are a Mother/Daughter team learning business as well as the fun art of sewing. We started this venture when Emily was 12 and we have enjoyed watching our business grow into something she can continue after going to college.

EmBands by Pretty Little EmThings - A 12 year old's dream becoming a reality

I started sewing a couple of years ago at a local store called The Stitchery. I loved making stuffed animals, pillowcases, and memory boards. Then, my mom and I learned how to make non-slip headbands which my mom had been wearing for a few years when she worked out. A month later, we named our headbands EmBands, our business was named Pretty Little EmThings, and we opened our Etsy store. We love finding the newest styles in ribbons to continuously update our selection. Later, I developed a new way of making our EmBands with fabric. We find fun fabrics on Etsy as well as my favorite fabric store and I make our Fabric EmBands, still lined in velvet. I sell all our EmBands at local arts and crafts shows and hope to expand my customer base with the help of my Etsy store.
