From a childhood desire to making a success business

I've loved to sew since I was a little girl. But I didn't come from a family of sewers. No grandmother to teach me, no sewing machine in our house to practice on. So I used our little wicker sewing basket and made myself stuffed animals out of old sweat-shirts.... sewing all the seams by hand, adding buttons for eyes. When I was in college, I borrowed a sewing machine from a friend so I could make everyone on my Christmas list handmade items on a budget. When I found out I was pregnant with my first child... it was time for me to get a machine of my own. I wanted to make my new baby a quilt... but I barely knew how to use a sewing machine! So I started learning. Everything I know about sewing has been self-taught. From videos, tutorials, quilt patterns, dress patterns and plain old trial-and-error. And hours and hours of practice. So that now I can take that passion and desire that I've had since I was a child...... and create beautiful things worth sharing with the world.
