I have years of stained and fused glass experience, I am a lapidary specializing in opals, I am a certified gemologist with a GIA diploma and have collected glass, art and gemstones for 30 years. I have taught my skills in the US and Canada, South Africa, Italy, and Japan. I received my Masters training and Specialty training in Japan. In between all that, I trained and practiced as an Operating Room Nurse in Large Trauma Centers all over the Chicago area, including Loyola Medical Center, University of Chicago, Advocate Christ Medical Center and Shriners Hospital for Children. I am currently involved with AMCAW, the Association of Metal Clay Artists Worldwide, the preeminent organization that represents and promotes metal clay art and artists.
