Care instructions
ALL of our items are vintage, meaning they are at least 20 years old. Most are older, sometimes 50 to 100 years old. As such we take a minimalist approach to cleaning. Most of our customers prefer the "aged" look so we tend to leave items alone. We take lots of photos so you can see what the item looks like and we try our best to disclose any condition issues in the description.
Sometimes there's a fine line between patina and dirt and people have different opinions on that. Since we can't put patina back on, we err on the side of caution when it comes to cleaning. At most we do a light dusting and a wipe down with a gentle cleaner (think baby wipe). We do not aggressively scrub or use powerful cleaners. Please ask if you have a concern.
