Hello and welcome to PriorPatterns! I am a pattern collector and with this shop I hope to help others enjoy the same hobby! My aim is to provide an easy and reliable service to my customers, but like all mere mortals I do have some limitations. :) Below I have outlines a my policies to make sure things go smoothly for all involved.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges

I will provide a refund minus shipping for error in description on my side. Please note that when I check patterns for completeness, I often only unfold enough to make sure all pieces are there. There may be tears, pins or other small blemishes that are not caught in the process, and as such, I will not take these reasons as basis for a refund. I do try to catch as many of these details as possible.

Any damages/losses caused by shipping and handling are not covered by PriorPatterns.

Payment

Payment is accepted only by PayPal or credit card through PayPal.

Shipping

I ship once a week, using the most affordable method available to me for your location. All patterns are wrapped in tissue, backed by two pieces of cereal box weight card/one piece of corrugated cardboard, and wrapped in plastic for shipment. This protects against tears, bending and water.

If you would like tracking and insurance options, or shipping at another date, they are available if you contact me before your purchase. For overseas orders I use a flat rate of $8 or $9 depending on the country. Sometime this rate is too high, or too low depending on weight and other factors (there's a difference of about $4 between under 100g to over to the UK and Australia for example), however, overall the prices even out. If you order more than once, this will likely work in your favour as often as not.

Any custom fees, duties, import taxes etc. are the responsibility of the buyer.

Additional policies and FAQs

Please note that I have a very active life at the moment- part of that includes moving every 3-4 months for work purposes. This means that the shop may be inactive for several months at a time. I will give notice of these dates and I apologize for any inconvenience that may occur.

Placing a reserve: I am willing to place a reserve on an item for 2 weeks. If you do not purchase the item after that time is up, it will be open to purchase by all once again.

Searching for a particular pattern? I am happy to look through any unlisted patterns I have for that special pattern, or hopefully find one similar. If I do not have the item at hand and you are still interested, I may be able to keep and eye out for you.
