5 out of 5 starsWhat an incredible zine! “The Whispering Caves” echoes one of my favorite Lovecraft stories, “Under the Pyramids,” but the setting and writing style are both fresh and unique. This might be my favorite Professor Vesper story yet. It’s got everything, from dark academia to mysterious underground spaces to evil cults to a heroine in the making. As always, the zine publication quality is fantastic, and this would make a great gift and an eerie addition to any horror collection. My order was carefully packaged and shipped quickly.

5 out of 5 starsAnother amazing story from Professor Vesper! Part cautionary tale and part power fantasy, Something Creepy brings the uncanny horror of Lovecraftian entities to the vibrant preteen campiness of the Goosebumps series. This stand-alone short story is a clever and carefully managed blast of nostalgia, but I imagine it will resonate just as strongly with a younger reader on its own merits. The zine is a cool physical object that’s perfectly formatted and handsomely published, and my order shipped quickly and was packaged with care. Highly recommended for fans of Stranger Things and The Magnus Archives.

5 out of 5 starsThis zine showcases a fun short story that begins with a boy hunting for Mothman in the woods and ends with him inadvertently adopting a pet Shoggoth. This cautionary tale is delivered via a frame story about an occult fireside gathering, which results in the language being humorously theatrical and campy. I really enjoyed reading this story, and I love the Stephen Gammell style illustrations as well. The zine's publication quality is quite high, and I imagine it would make a wonderful Halloween present for a younger reader.
