Shop policies

Last updated on November 16, 2017
Hi all!

This is a small independently run business. To protect myself while making sure you are as happy as possible with your purchase I have written a detailed outline of our policies on the following page.

I implore you to please read through them carefully before making your purchase so that you have a clear understanding of the shop policies. Once you have purchased your item(s) I can only assume that you have read and understood the shop policies and you will essentially be entered into a contract with me upon your order.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept exchanges
Contact me within: 3 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 7 days of delivery
I don't accept returns or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
-Returns:
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of my work, I do not accept returns or issue refunds. Although I am confident you will love your new piece of jewelry, please think very carefully about your purchase before buying! Stay informed by reading through my shop policies and contact me with any questions you have about an item.

-Exchanges:
In certain instances exchanges are accepted. When making your purchase of particular items (i.e. rings) please make sure you give me the correct size. On occasion I have had to exchange items where customers have been mistaken about what size they need. If there is an issue with the size, the item can be exchanged for the same item in the correct size. I am happy to help in this instance HOWEVER you are required to pay for shipping back to me and return shipping. If the original item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

-Exchanges (Custom Work):
With any custom work that is made to certain specifications (ie. rings) please make sure you give me the correct size. On occasion I have had to resize items where customers have been mistaken about what size they need. I am happy to help in this instance HOWEVER you are required to pay for shipping back to me and return shipping. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Your complete satisfaction with my product is my goal! If you have any questions or concerns with your order please contact me as soon as possible. I am happy to help and answer questions!
Payment
-Payment
We accept payment with credit cards, debit cards, and Etsy Gift Cards.
We accept payment through Paypal.
We do not accept checks as a form of payment.

-Deposits
If you see a piece that you love but isn't quite in your budget I will gladly accept deposits!
An initial $50 nonrefundable deposit is required because I am holding the piece for you and taking it off the market for purchase by others.
After the first deposit I request at least one payment per month but it can be completely flexible: please put down at least $20 but you can put however much down that you like ($30, $55, $80, etc) whatever is manageable for your budget! You also don't have to limit to one deposit per month and can choose to put money down weekly. We will stay in contact throughout your purchase and make it run as smoothly as possible so you can get your dream jewels as soon as you can :)

-Deposits (Custom Work):
$50 nonrefundable deposit is required before fabrication on any custom project begins. This helps me purchase initial materials and work on your design!
*The remainder of payment is due upon completion*
You can schedule regular deposits weekly or monthly as I fabricate your piece so that the final balance is quick and easy to pay!
A rough estimate of the price can be provided for custom work based on initial design/material requests that are made and agreed upon. If other requests are made to change the design or add other materials (i.e. stones, silver, rose gold, etc.) additional fees will be added to compensate for my time and those materials. Designing and fabricating can take many hours of work!
Shipping
-Orders in stock:
Will be shipped within 1-3 business days after payment is received.

-Made to Order:
Once payment is received I will begin fabrication. Because this is a unique item made from scratch it can take between 1-4 weeks to complete! The item(s) will be shipped when complete.

-Pre-Orders:
Pre-Order items are pieces we regularly make and carry but have recently sold out of. Due to their popularity we provide the option to pre-order so customers can receive them as soon as they are back in stock. Once payment is received there is an estimated 4-6 week processing time to cover how long it could take to fabricate and restock, but likely items will ship earlier.

Custom Orders:
Since all custom requests are different it can take as little as a few weeks to as much as a couple months to complete certain pieces depending on the intricacies. Designing, acquiring particular stones and materials, and fabrication all take time. I will try to provide the best estimate I can but please be patient! Don't hesitate to message me about your piece and ask for any updates or photos of the work in progress.

-When your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email.

-US customers:
Can typically expect to receive orders within 2-5 days once the order has been marked as shipped. Depending on the time of year (holidays) it can vary by a few days.

-International customers:
Can typically expect to receive orders within 10 days - 1 month once the order has shipped, but sometimes longer. The time frame is very dependent on your country's unique custom laws.

-I ship via USPS using first class services which includes tracking.
Insurance is not included but can be added for an additional fee. You can purchase insurance as an add on through my shop, just let me know if you're interested in this and I will create a custom listing. Please understand if you decline to add this service and your package is lost, stolen, or damaged due to USPS or other factors out of my control, I am not responsible.

*Please think ahead when making holiday or gift orders - I will do everything in my power to get them to you right away but please read through my policies and consider how long fabrication and shipping can take. The earlier you order the better!

**It is rare, but possible that there could one day be unforeseen issues that are completely out of my control (ie. inclement weather, power outages, family emergencies, waiting on supply vendors, etc) but in any such case I will update you to let you know what is going on and get your order out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
-Please be aware: every single one of my pieces - even designs I carry regularly - are completely unique. This is because every piece is made by hand from scratch. I cast many of my designs using organic materials from nature. This is why no two items will be alike and will slightly differ from one piece to the next. Although I always try to depict my product as clearly as possible in photos, you may notice a few details will vary: the texture of bone might be different, stones might be slightly lighter or darker and have different variations of flash or color, etc. If anything, it makes your piece completely one of a kind and distinctly special! If you are looking for a stone with a particular flash or clarity please message me before you make your purchase - we can discuss what you're looking for and can even show you what I have available.

As with any handmade adornment, please remember to take special care of your new jewels:

-Almost all of my pieces have a special oxidized patina on the surface. You can help keep the patina intact by taking extra love and care of your piece (ie. storing them carefully or wrapping in a piece of cloth when not wearing). I also recommend you avoid wearing your jewelry while bathing or swimming in a chlorinated pool. Be considerate of what could affect the patina and your jewels should do just fine :)

-I coat certain base metal pieces (i.e. Guiding Hand Rings) with a protective water-based acrylic lacquer to keep the metal from turning your skin funky colors. This usually does the trick pretty well but depending on how much the piece is worn this can wear off so please be aware of this. I generally write in the listing if I use any protective lacquer. If you'd like to request any be added to a piece that I usually do not coat, please message me to ask.

-In the instance where you feel irked by some cosmetic issue with patina having worn off I am still happy to reapply or fix it. In such instances I will charge a very small service fee and require you pay for shipping. Depending on the state of your piece I may even be able to give you some advice to fix the patina, that way you wouldn't have to ship the piece back and forth, pay a fee, and you'll gain some interesting functional knowledge! Again, message me and I'm happy to assist you in any way I can. <3
