My journey to making plush plush creatures wasn’t standard. For years, I worked as a medical doctor. Today, I work with digital design and machine embroidery, but I brought my medical background and anatomical precision into this craft. For over 13 years, I have been living and creating on the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria.
I don’t just use ready-made patterns. Every single creature in my shop, Promari, is designed and crafted by me from scratch. I digitize embroidery files myself from drawings or photos of real pets, turning a computer design into a real, soft, three-dimensional character.
My obsession is getting the likeness right. When I make a custom Sphynx cat from a photo, it involves spending hours hunting through shops for the exact shade of fawn-gray fabric, feeling the texture, comparing it with everything in my workshop, and refusing to settle until it matches.
I specialize in capturing the distinct spirit of animals—whether it’s a replica for someone who wants a memory of their pet, or a whimsical character with a touch of irony.
I work completely alone. There is no team or mass production here. It is just me, my multi-needle embroidery machine, a lot of hard work, and a plush character looking right back at you.
