Thank you for visiting with me!
I have been a teacher since 1990. My teaching experiences have included preschool owner, special education teacher, alternative high school teacher, college professor, and coordinator of student services.
I received my undergraduate B.S. degree from Iowa State University in Elementary Education and Special Education. I received my M.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Special Education Consultation along with a 7-12 Multi-Categorial and Special Education Director endorsements.
My husband's career has caused us to move around a lot. Ten different homes in 23 years - yes, that is a lot! My three daughters have had the opportunity for many beneficial life and educational experiences. These moves have also allowed me to teach at several different levels. During one of our transitional moves, I was able to take a year off of teaching. I believe the year was 2007. This is the year I started creating teacher resources for other teachers to use. I originally sold them on my other etsy store (www.etsy.com/shop/antonmurals) along with my hand painted artwork.
I enjoy creating educational activities that are fun while focusing on common core essential skills. I believe that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. Special education has always been my area of focus. If students are not achieving to their fullest potential, then we, as teachers, must first look in the mirror. What can we do differently? All behavior is communication. What are your students trying to tell you?
Now that my daughters are getting older, I have more time to paint and write. Please check back often for new items.
Thank you for shopping in my store!
Blessings,
Shelly Anton
