Props & Prototypes
I am a very thankful and grateful man, blessed with my two boys, Christian and Gabriel. I am a former U.S. Marine, serving during the Clinton administration on active duty and in the reserves. I am an alumnus of Parris Island, SC 3rd Battalion, Kilo Company. I originally trained in the Marines to be a 0300 (Infantry), then I had the opportunity to become a 7051 (Airport Rescue Firefighter). During my service I was able to do some traveling and see some of the great areas of the country.
After completing my duty, I attended college on a part-time basis and worked full-time as an airport firefighter with a NJ general aviation airport. During my airport firefighting career I was part of two foreign military sales of helicopters. One was in the state of Delaware in conjunction with the U.S. Army, Boeing Corporation, and the Egyptian Army. The second was at the Sikorsky Test Flight and Development Center in West Palm Beach Florida, for the sale of Blackhawk helicopters to the Turkish Air Force. During my tenor in Florida, I also was able to work with the RAH-66 Comanche, the world’s first stealth helicopter.
When my time was complete with these ventures, I became an MICU Paramedic. I worked for a local county hospital system full-time, part-time with another hospital system, was an instructor of various EMS courses and returned back to college part-time pursuing my physician’s assistance degree. March 10, 2005 is the day everything came to a sudden stop. I was involved in a motor vehicle collision while on the job, injuring my partner and disabling me. I sustained a fractured spine, along with spinal cord and nerve damage. This set of injuries has severely limited my daily activities and abilities, ending my career in the emergency services.
I am now dealing with chronic pain and discomfort. I take a variety of prescription meds, I have a spinal cord stimulator implant, I had a spinal nerve chemical sympathectomy and I have a implanted morphine pump.
I am working towards my own props and prototypes machining business.
