A little about my past...
My creations are as unique as my name, Prudence.
I disliked my name while growing up, but adore the originality of it as an artist.

One of my most fond childhood memories is sitting on my Nanu's lap at the kitchen table, watching in awe as he drew pictures of detailed ships from the old country onto paper napkins with his ball point pen. One of my lifelong regrets by the way, is not saving any of those masterpieces.

My workshop has always been in the basement of my home. I enjoy being surrounded by paints, brushes, canvases, and other random odds and ends. Artists are really secret hoarders in some respects, except we actually utilize our "junk" eventually, for that perfect project!

After receiving a BA in Graphic Design from Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI, I worked for five year in advertising. I was blessed to have worked for twelve years as a stay home mom and artist/crafter. Along the way I have evolved from a decorative painter, muralist, substitute teacher, part time custom framer, Special Education Paraprofessional, painting instructor at Arte Bar & Painting in Wauwatosa, and an etsy shop owner. I also teach mixed media painting classes.

My dream is to one day combine my love of teaching children and adults of all abilities, with my passion for art, and operate a working studio where we can create side by side, learning from each other along our journey.
