Making angels is our family tradition.

One day my mom looked at a protea flower, fresh from Maui, and turned it upside down to dry. There, upside down, the flower revealed an entirely new life to her. She placed a pretty little painted head atop the newly changed flower, made wings using the flowers own leaves and suddenly the protea angel was born.

This is truly a family tradition as my mom had employed just about everyone in our family at one point to make angels.

Today I continue this tradition with my husband. We buy fresh protea flowers, we dry them naturally, and we create the many little pieces, painting and decorating heads, making wings and design these very unique angels.
