I studied art and design in college and had a short career as a interior designer before pursuing another degree and career in library & information science, but I could never completely let go of the artistic side of myself, nor would I ever want to.
I've been very interested in crochet of late, though I have also learned to paint, quill, sew, and draw. I have not yet learned to knit, but it's on my bucket list, along with Latin dance and culinary classes.
The imaginative capacity and fascinations of small children are an inspiration to me. My friends, family, and other creative people also inspire me to keep challenging myself with more advanced techniques and projects.
