I Create Nature Inspired Wall Art
I am a self taught digital photographer based in Marina Del Rey, California. I love being outdoors and spend as much time at the beach or in the garden as possible. I am inspired by nature and use photography to capture the ever changing beauty of the outdoors. While photographing and editing, I imagine my work hanging in my home and create art I would love to decorate with. I create calming simplified images by isolating one or two colors, using soft lighting and a narrow depth of focus, and applying texture during editing.
I was born and grew up in Toronto, Canada. I spent countless hours in my mother's garden and at my family's cottage on the lake, soaking in the beauty of a summer's day. I first began using photography to capture these happy summer moments. Once I finished college, my husband and I moved to Seattle, Washington. I love the peaceful, dreamy quality of a typical Northwest day and often incorporate that feeling into my photography. In 2011, I was motivated to upgrade my camera and further develop my photography skills by the birth of my daughter. I have enjoyed the challenge of capturing the perfect picture of my daughter and new son. However, my passion remains nature photography. Recently, my family and I moved to Marina Del Rey, California. I am thrilled to have countless new photographic opportunities and have already begun incorporating the bright cheerful vibe of Southern California into my photography.
I opened up my Etsy shop in 2011. Etsy's rich community of artists have provided me with endless inspiration and support. As well, the exciting experience of selling directly to customers has motivated me to constantly improve my technique and create new work. Since opening up my shop, I have created hundreds of new images.

- Converted an image to black and white
- Adjusted the color of an image to better match a room
- Made photograph recommendations based on a customer's room photo
- Created a mockup of my image on a wall with my customers paint color
- Selected a set of photographs to complement a selected image
