Quick Gratification and Contemporary Kits
When Angela was a Houston real estate agent in 2002 - 2012, she had very limited free time to pursue any sort of creative activity. To maximize her free time, she would order "kits" because she thought all necessary materials would be included and she could get started right away. Only after reading the instructions or patterns would she learn she needed to go hunting for more materials. The kit would eventually be buried with frustration in the kit graveyard.
When Purl & Loop was founded, it was intended to be solely an online yarn shop that also sold a few kits. It was difficult to find contemporary kits that included all of the supplies needed to start and finish without hunting for any other materials. Eventually, Angela decided to design and create Purl & Loop's own kits. Purl & Loop's focus is now primarily on kits and the supplies needed to "re-charge" the kit. Many of the kit components are re-useable and the kits provide the user with the know how to make even more bowls, creatures, and pincushions, etc. with varying design features.
Purl & Loop kits are designed with the super busy person in mind who wants to be able to watch TV and work on a simple but beautiful project. The kits have all the materials and tools needed along with detailed photo instructions. We want you to be able to come home from a long day and spend those precious few hours of "free" time creating something to love, not driving around hunting for supplies. We hope you have as much fun making our projects as we do!
