Once upon a Design.....
It all started several years ago. As a young mother, I wanted to stay home with my children but have a small income. I had tried everything; but nothing seemed to work.
Then one play date, while the kids were playing quietly, I was telling my friend about all the 'online jobs' I had tried. I was feeling so frustrated. She smiled politely at me, and finally spoke up; she told me a wonderful story of working from home, selling her goods, contributing to her family as more than a cook, cleaner and child care. She didn't have to bug her friends to buy, her buyers came to her. It sounded wonderful!
I thought, "Maybe I could do that too!" So, that same day, she introduced me to Etsy, after she left the house (with her kids, of course), I went online and looked up this 'etsy' thing. I created a profile and started working.
My plan was to put in $20, and see if I could sell anything. After just 2 weeks, and $8.40, I had my first sale, I was so excited! Since then, several years have gone by, and I'm still always working on new designs. You see, it was the designs that gave me a new life, and I'm very grateful to my friend, and to The One who gives me these abilities.
I'm now a very busy homeschooling Mom, wife and business owner (and designer). I love my job and creating the perfect, unique party items for my buyers. I make party items that are as special as my buyers. Each party and buyer are different, and I treat them as such.
With 3 kids of my own, I know how fast parties come and how much work is involved. I strive to do my work quickly and to try to help with the simple and complex. Party planning should be fun and enjoyable.
I live a Designed life... and I LOVE it!
