PUZZELLA — ETSY SHOP PRIVACY POLICY

Who we are and what this policy covers
Puzzella, based in the Netherlands, is responsible for the personal information we use to run our Etsy shop. This policy covers purchases, enquiries and customer support for our printable Sudoku PDFs and puzzle packs. Etsy operates its platform as a separate data controller; its practices are described at https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy. Our website and app have their own privacy information at https://puzzella.com/privacy-policy.

Information we receive
When you place an order or contact us, Etsy may provide your name, Etsy username, email address, billing or address information, order details and messages. We use only the information needed for the purposes below. Our products are digital downloads, so we do not request a shipping address to deliver them. Etsy and its payment providers process payments; we do not receive your full card details.

Why we use your information
We use order and contact information to fulfil your purchase, help you access your files and respond to order-related questions. The legal basis is performing our contract with you, or taking steps at your request before a purchase.
We keep records needed for accounting and tax obligations on the basis of our legal obligations.
Where necessary, we use relevant order and message records to investigate problems, prevent misuse and handle disputes or legal claims. This is based on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our shop, balanced against your rights.
We do not sell customer information or add Etsy buyers to marketing lists merely because they buy from us. Any optional marketing would require a separate, appropriate permission and a way to withdraw it. You do not need to join a mailing list to receive your purchase.

Optional website downloads
If you choose to verify an Etsy purchase on our website or save it to your Puzzella library, we use the relevant order number, qualifying product information and verification records to provide the access you request. Saving a purchase to your library also associates it with your signed-in account. The website privacy policy describes the providers and processing used for these optional features.

Sharing
We exchange the information needed to manage your order and support requests with Etsy. Where necessary, relevant accounting records may be provided to professional advisers or competent authorities for tax, accounting or legal purposes. We disclose only what is needed. We may also disclose relevant information when legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not share Etsy buyer information for unrelated advertising.

International processing
Etsy may process information outside the European Economic Area under the arrangements described in its own privacy policy. Any service provider we engage to process buyer information on our behalf must have appropriate data-protection terms. Where our own processing requires a transfer outside the EEA, we must use a valid transfer mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses, and any additional safeguards required for that transfer.

Retention
We retain records forming part of our Dutch tax and accounting administration for the legally required period, generally seven years. Some records, including records subject to particular VAT rules, may require a longer period. We retain only the personal information necessary within those records.
We keep enquiry and support records that do not form part of those records for as long as needed to respond, resolve the issue and handle related disputes or legal claims. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymised, unless another legal obligation applies. Etsy determines retention for information it holds independently.

Website and app accounts
Buying an Etsy PDF does not automatically create a Puzzella app account or subscribe you to a newsletter. Deleting your Puzzella account removes the account data described in the website and app policy; it does not automatically delete Etsy purchases, Etsy messages or records that must be retained for accounting, tax obligations or legal claims. Contact us separately about information we control for our Etsy shop.

Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your information, restrict processing, receive portable data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify your request. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it.
You may complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens at https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl or another competent data-protection authority. For information controlled independently by Etsy, contact Etsy through https://www.etsy.com/help.
