Inspired by my musical background and love for plants, I completed my first crochet project a few years ago and immediately fell in love with the craft. The dexterity and patience from playing the violin for most of my life brought me to the world of crocheting, a tight “knit” community (haha) of creatives constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be made from balls of yarn.
I find crochet to be an invaluable skill - one that offers therapeutic benefits that reach far beyond the pure joy of creating one-of-a-kind pieces of textile. The craft helps me slow down and appreciate the present, unplugging from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It also allows me to be precise, but still find beauty in imperfections, as crochet can be a very imperfect art form. I enjoy experimenting with yarn of varying textures and colors to help tell a unique story with every project. Making something from scratch that is both wearable and practical brings me immense joy and I hope to share that with you through my pieces.
