Care is the most practical concern when dealing with kids, who let’s face it are messy and spill-prone. All products made by Queller Crafts including all knitwear are able to be machine washed and dried. Our recommendation is that all clothing be washed in cold water on a gentle cycle while the items are inside out and then tumble dried. Certain items may indicate that they should be washed in a garment bag but these will be clearly labeled. When machine washing knitwear they can be concerns about stretching and shape but this problem has been solved by using the Acrylic Yarn which keeps it shape and can stretch and rebound.

Longevity, in addition to my art background I have spent many years working with young children and know that they are constantly growing and that can make buying specialty clothing frustrating because they grow out of it quickly. In response to this Queller Crafts has made a point of trying to make clothing that can grow with the child. This is especially true with the knitwear which is made with a generous waistband and can fit 2/3T or 4/5T for example. This allows for the items to get a good amount of use and they stand up to multiple washings and can even be passed down. Many of our specialty items make for great photo props and can be used for multiple children.

Comfort is one of the most important things when making children's clothing because kids are not shy with their opinions if things are itchy or tight. Queller Crafts takes this into account when designing and uses only Acrylic Yarns because they are soft and avoid any allergic reactions to materials like wool. In combination with the Acrylic Yarn all knit pants use an elastic waistband as opposed to drawstrings to avoid the danger and to give kids the comfort and stretch they need.

Color, this is the part that stands out the most. As the designer of our clothing I use my art background and study of painting to work with colors and bring a unique approach to creating color combinations and patterns. The other advantage to the handmade nature of our clothing is that any color combo and style is possible.
